Just before the MWC (Mobile World Congress) Samsung launched the Galaxy Ace Plus and the Galaxy Mini 2.
We of SamMobile tried both phones and made a little hands-on video.
The Galaxy Ace Plus runs on Android 2.3.6 and is expected to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, according to an employee of Samsung.
The Galaxy Ace Plus runs on the same TouchWiz skin as its predecessor, the Galaxy Ace.
So thats why we are not going to explain the whole TouchWiz skin again, it is well known by alot of people now.
Some advantages of this device are its 5 Megapixel camera with HD resolution, BT 3.0 , 3GB storage and a 1 GHz dual core processor.
Unfortunately, the Galaxy Ace Plus doesn't use a AMOLED screen, suppose had it been there, there was no use for the Galaxy S Plus or even the Galaxy S Advance.
Personally, we expect that this device will sell quite nice.
The Galaxy Ace Plus is very comfortable to hold in your hand and its Firmware (Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread) is fast.
Samsung will launch this device along with a number of apps, 1 of the apps is Samsung's own ChatOn.
Samsung will pre-install ChatOn on every new device they launch.
Our expectation is that the Galaxy Ace Plus will be a good player in the mid-end segment.
Below is a brief video of the Galaxy Ace Plus in MWC Barcelona.
