Last week, word broke out that some users had an issue wherein the battery on their Galaxy S4 was swelling up and losing its ability to hold charge for long, with our coverage of the matter seeing quite a few comments confirming the same from many of our readers. According to a statement released to Trusted Reviews, Samsung is aware of the issue and is offering free replacement batteries to those affected.
Here's the official statement:
We ask all affected customers to please visit their nearest Samsung Electronics service centre, where they can receive a replacement battery for free of charge. We remain committed to providing the best possible user experience for our customers.
Well, if you have a swollen battery on your Galaxy S4, you know what to do – find a nearby service center and get that thing replaced by a shiny new unit.
