Of all the rumors and speculation we've heard about the Galaxy S5, one common theme among them has been the fact that Samsung's next flagship will have a 16-megapixel camera (possibly with optical image stabilization). Now, a report from the Korean Media claims that all 2014 flagships from Samsung will feature 16MP shooters. This isn't surprising – every Galaxy Note has featured the same camera as that year's Galaxy S, so if a 16MP camera debuts on the S5, the Note 4 should have one as well.
But what makes the report interesting is that it claims Samsung has placed orders for 181 million 16MP camera modules. A previous report claimed how Samsung is aiming to sell only around 126 million highly priced devices next year (out of an estimate target of 360 million total device sales) – this makes us wonder if Samsung's rumored super premium Galaxy F series really might be arriving on the scene next year, though that will go against speculation that Samsung isn't looking to focus on the high-end market for 2014.
All early rumors though, so I guess we'll see what happens when the time comes.
