Didn't like the design of the Galaxy S5 and have been hoping that Samsung's smartphone design language gets an overhaul? Well, that might just happen soon, as Samsung has replaced Chang Dong-hoon, the head of its mobile design team. Samsung hasn't officially commented on why Chang was replaced, though reports suggest that criticism of the Galaxy S5 could be part of the reason, as the phone was found to be lacking in innovation and its textured back, while nice in feel and use, received lukewarm reception from critics.

Chang will be replaced by Lee Min-hyouk, who was the vice president for mobile design until now. Does this mean that we'll start seeing a revamp in the company's mobile design aesthetics? That will likely take some time if it does happen, but after having paraded the same feel and look for all its smartphones for almost three years, the reshuffling in the design team could bring about some much appreciated changes in the mobile products of the world's largest phone manufacturer.
