Samsung is expected to launch both a higher and lower-end variant of the Galaxy S5 in the form of the Galaxy S5 Prime (a tentative name) and the Galaxy S5 mini. Today, info obtained by GSMArena is confirming details on the displays of the two phones, details that we had already revealed in a couple of exclusives – the Galaxy S5 Prime, or the SM-G906, will sport a 5.2-inch screen with a QHD resolution (2560×1440), while the Galaxy S5 mini will have a 4.5-inch 720p display. GSMArena's source mentions that the SM-G906 is codenamed KQ, which backs up the exclusive scoop we published last month on Samsung's plans for said device.
Today's leak also claims to have details on Samsung's next Mega handset, another phone which we recently confirmed as being in the works. Codenamed “K Mega (Vasta)”, the new Mega will feature model number SM-G750 (earlier thought to be the Galaxy S5 Neo, which it still could be as none of this is official) and sport a 6-inch 720p display, which sits right in between the 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch screens found on Samsung's older Galaxy Mega handsets. It's unclear if the other phone in the second-generation Galaxy Mega lineup will be larger or smaller in size, though we're sure that little nugget of information will present itself soon enough.
