The Galaxy Tab S is the first tablet to utilise a high resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) Super AMOLED screen and Samsung's new TV commercial is quick to highlight its importance. The video commercial directed by Jake Scott compares the screen of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to a tablet with an LCD screen (most probably an Apple iPad). This commercial will be aired globally starting today.
Super AMOLED screens were usually criticised for displaying over-saturated colours. But the new variant of Super AMOLED display used in the Galaxy Tab S can reproduce accurate colours when set to ‘Basic' screen mode. Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics said, “There is no other tablet on the market that can compete with the unrivaled viewing experience, innovative design aesthetics, and industry-leading productivity features of the Galaxy Tab S”.
Just to remind you, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 are already available in the US since last week for $399 and $499 respectively. Samsung has launched cellular variants of these tablets in India with a starting price of INR 37,800 ($635).
