Samsung is beginning to update yet another device in its lineup to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Galaxy S4 zoom, the company's original attempt at mixing a full-blown camera with a smartphone, is the latest to get the KitKat treatment, with the update now rolling out in Russia, carrying build number C101XXUBNF4. The update should include all the features and improvements of Android 4.4, such as faster performance, redesigned status bar, wireless printing support (sure to come in handy for all those photos you have taken), full-screen album art and a camera shortcut on the lockscreen, and updated versions of a few Samsung apps.
We would imagine a few of the features from the Galaxy K zoom might be included as well, though you shouldn't hold your hopes up. As usual, the update will start popping up in various regions over the course of the next few weeks, though impatient folks can head into the Settings » About phone » Software updates menu to force it to show up immediately, or grab the firmware from our firmware section to do a manual upgrade.
