Last week, we had published a list of all the European countries where the Galaxy S5 Active is expected to launched but there was no concrete information on the actual release date. It appears that guys over at GSMInfo.nl have managed to discover that it might be released in Netherlands by mid-November. The Dutch online retailer, Central Point, said that it could deliver the Galaxy S5 Active starting November 16. Its price is not known yet but it could be below €600. It would be the fourth variant of the Galaxy S5 to be released in Netherlands, after the Galaxy S5 Mini, and the Galaxy S5 Plus.
The Galaxy S5 Active is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, and US Mil-STD 810G specification for shock, temperature, humidity, rain, and altitude. It features a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 2,800 mAh battery. There's a 16-megapixel primary camera but misses out on a fingerprint sensor. Instead, it comes with a convenience key for Activity Zone that gives access to some features like compass, barometer, stopwatch and flash light.
