The Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 has finally broken free of its European shackles, as it is now showing up in Malaysia and Russia, indicating that Samsung is gearing up for a worldwide rollout (even US carriers are set to release the update starting in January.) The update comes with build numbers G900FDXU1BNL3 and G900FDXXU1BNL9 in Malaysia and Russia respectively, and should include the same features as the update that was released in Europe, such as improved performance, a redesign UI and apps, lockscreen and heads-up notifications, and more.
As usual, you can grab the firmware for the Lollipop update from our firmware section (simply enter your device's model number in the search field on the firmware page), download it over the air by clicking on the update's notification that shows up in your status bar, or pull it right away from the Settings » About phone » Software updates menu.
