Patent and trademark filings often indicate what our favorite technology companies are up to and like other companies Samsung also makes filings on a regular basis. Today the US Patent & Trademark Office published 12 brand names for mobile/smartphones that Samsung is seeking trademarks for. These names have been published ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2015 trade show in Barcelona next month. The original filing was made by Samsung on February 5th. Samsung actually filed 13 trademark applications, the first being “S-MBIR,” which is described as a “computerized tomography (CT) apparatus.”
The rest and potential brand monikers for mobile and/or smartphones. It is impossible to tell from the filing when a device with a moniker from this list will hit the market but at least this gives us an idea of what future mobile devices from Samsung might be called.
