Several reports have been published recently which claim that Samsung has already received pre-orders for as many as 20 million units combined for both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge from its carrier partners around the world. Another recent report has suggested that Samsung has actually ramped up production of its new flagship smartphones so that it can better meet the demand once the smartphones are released on April 10th. Samsung's Switzerland arm is apparently seeing a good response for the new devices in the country. It says that pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 in the first week since its announcement are four times higher than what it saw in the same reference period for the Galaxy S5.

Dario Casari, sales director at Samsung Switzerland, said that the great interest from consumers shows that the Galaxy S6 is an innovative and high quality production which is “ideally suited to the needs and expectations of the Swiss market.” The company has set up a website www.next-is-now.ch which interested customers can visit and interactively experience Samsung's new flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge will be available in Switzerland on April 10th in white, black and gold. Green and blue colors will be available at a later date.
