In the last year or so, Android manufacturers have taken to putting their proprietary apps on the Google Play Store, as a means of offering quicker updates to these apps instead of making users wait for newer versions through software updates. Samsung hasn't been to active at doing so, but it seems to be rectifying that with the launch of its S Health app on the Play Store.

The version on the Play Store is the same as the one found on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, and it should be compatible with most of Samsung's smartphones (though you need to be running Android 5.0.) At this point there doesn't seem to be anything noticeable newer or different about the app on the Play Store, but it should bring users of non-Galaxy S6 devices the newer UI tha debuted on Samsung's latest flagships.
