Samsung’s new UHD Evolution Kit updates older Smart TVs to Tizen

Those who own Samsung Smart TVs from the 2013 F9000 series and the 2014 HU series will be delighted to know that the company has released a new hardware kit called the UHD Evolution Kit (SEK-3500U) which is going to update older smart TVs to Tizen. This will bring the user experience in line with Samsung's most recent smart TV models while also providing a performance boost.

The SEK-3500U 2015 Evolution Kit brings Tizen OS to the smart TVs with a new redesigned Smart Hub. It also includes a new faster octa-core processor, more RAM, a revamped Touch Remote with new pointer operation, HDMI 2.0 ports capable of supporting 4K video at 60 frames-per-second, MHL 3.0 for easy connectivity to mobile devices and new HEVC and VP9 codecs. Interested customers will be able to purchase the hardware kit for 399 euro when it arrives in the coming weeks.
