Last month, the images and the specifications of the Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7 were spotted through TENAA certification. Now, we have been able to source live images of the Galaxy J5, which confirm the design of this mid-range smartphone.
From the looks of it, the Galaxy J5 (SM-J500F) has a design similar to that of the Galaxy J1 – full plastic body with removable back panel – with the difference being in its screen size and dimensions. The battery is removable, and the SIM card slot as well as the microSD card slot sit beneath the back panel. As leaked earlier, it appears to be running the new version of TouchWiz (on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop), which debuted with the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge.
From the past leaks and our own exclusive reports, we know that it would feature a 5-inch display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage (along with a microSD card slot), and a 2,600 mAh battery. Just like the Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, and the Galaxy E7, the Galaxy J5 features a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera.
Thanks for the tip, Gasim!
