Samsung is providing a very enticing incentive to pre-order the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge. The company has confirmed that all customers who pre-order the new flagships will receive the Gear VR for free. What if you don't plan on placing a pre-order and would rather pick up one of the new flagships for an attractive price in a deal or promotion a few months from now? Well, you certainly won't be eligible for a free Gear VR, but if you already happen to own one then you're in the clear.

The consumer version of the Gear VR was released last year for $99. It's compatible with the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 edge, the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. Samsung has also confirmed that it's compatible with the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. The new flagships fit perfectly in the existing headset and work just as well. Customers who already own the Gear VR headset and plan on purchasing the new flagship later this year will certainly appreciate this, they won't have to spend another hundred dollars on a new headset.
