Either the Galaxy Note 4 is extremely vulnerable to security threat since it received Marshmallow or Samsung is simply making up for all the time it ignored its fourth Galaxy Note flagship. Either way, the Korean giant seems to be focusing on the Galaxy Note 4 when it comes to monthly Android security updates – the Note 4 was the first device to get security fixes for the month of April, and it is now getting an update with the security patches from May.
The update is rolling out to the European model (SM-N910F) in various regions, and in addition to bringing the phone's security patch level to June 1, 2016, it also brings improvements to battery usage, memory management and performance, and general stability. The build number for the update is N910FXXS1DPE6. You can grab the update over the air by heading into the Settings » About device » Software update menu on your Note 4, or by downloading the full firmware from our database.
