According to a recent report from ETNews, Samsung will start providing 4×4 MIMO base station software that also supports 3-Band CA to various mobile carriers in Q4 2016. 4×4 MIMO doubles the speed of processing data by increasing the transmitting and receiving antennas from two to four. Competition is set to increase between cellular carriers once 4×4 MIMO arrives in the market.
