From what we've heard about the Gear VR remote control app so far, it's going to make it very easy to control VR experience. Once it's connected users will be able to go back or forward in the gallery for example by simply rotating the bezel and pressing the physical buttons to confirm their selection. The same goes for controlling VR videos and even games in which the rotating bezel can be used as an input method. The possibilities here are endless. It's unclear right now when the Gear VR remote control app for the Gear S2 and Gear S3 will be released by Samsung but it's likely that the app may be released alongside the Galaxy S8 early next year. The upcoming flagship is expected to significantly improve the VR experience on Samsung handsets.
