Samsung released the February 2023 security update earlier this month, but only recent high-end and mid-range smartphones received the update. Now, the company has started rolling out the update to the original Galaxy Fold
The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold comes with firmware version F900FXXS6HWA2. It is currently available in Latin American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and Panama. Other countries worldwide could get the update within the next few weeks.
The February 2023 security update fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities, including the ones related to the Contacts app, Secure Folder, and UWB. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements. The device might get the One UI 5.1 update next.
If you are a Galaxy Fold user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can update your phone to the latest security patch by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
