Samsung tablet owners are very unhappy with Samsung.
Samsung released a list of devices which will get Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update.
In only 2 hours people blamed Samsung about some tablets missing from their upgrade list.
The upgrade list missed the Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Many people are blaming Samsung because of the price and specifications…
The price of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is still high but will not get a higher any further updates then 4.0.4 ICS.
The price of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 are normal but the specifications are almost the same as the new Galaxy Tab 2, so the hardware is definitely capable of handling Jelly bean.
Samsung did not gave any comment on the missing tablets or phones yet.
We of SamMobile have to say, some of the tablets aren't available anymore in some countries because of the patent wars between Apple and Samsung.
Maybe is this one of the reasons of Samsung will not update these tablets.
Also some Galaxy W owners aren't happy with Samsung but sadly the sales of this device are not high.
The other side.
Many people are happy to see that Samsung will update most of their old high-end phones to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Specially the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II owners are very happy.
They are even happy to see Samsung update their mid-end devices Galaxy Chat, Galaxy Ace Plus and Galaxy mini 2 to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
The most updates are planned for the latest quarter of 2012. / first quarter of 2013.
The Jelly Bean update will have a few enchantments like:
– Better performance, thanks to Project Butter it’s even smoother and faster
– Reorganized settings menu
– 2 Homescreen modes
– New Notifications bar
– Google Now
– Resizable Pop-up play screen
Hope for the most devices?
Many times Samsung decide to update the most devices with special value packs.
Samsung did the same with the first Galaxy S and Galaxy tab.
