The recent rumour about Tizen claimed that the operating system that was in development for few years won't see the light of day. But in two separate statements released by Samsung and Intel, both claim to be very much involved in the development of the Tizen OS. Samsung's statement says they're “actively working on Tizen eco-system” and is “committed to delivering the best mobile experience based on the open platform and a fully-ready eco-system around it” while Intel foresees a “unique role for Tizen in the industry to create and to grow a new, open and flexible, mobile operating system that allows developers to “write once/run on many devices””.
There's no information on when the first Tizen device will be available in the market.
