You probably don't remember it, but a variant of the Galaxy S4 Active with a Snapdragon 800 processor (SHV-E470S) was recently seen flexing its muscles in benchmarks, and now a report suggests that this faster version of the tough and strong Galaxy S4 is indeed in the works for a release in Korea next month. Apparently, Samsung is delaying the device so that it doesn't interfere with sales of the Galaxy Note 3, though that sounds a lot like hogwash since someone wanting Samsung's latest phablet will probably never opt for the S4 Active.
For now, the Snapdragon 800-powered S4 Active is only expected to launch in Korea, though we wouldn't put it past Samsung to bring it to other markets, similar to the Galaxy S4 powered by the same chipset. We'll let you know of any further developments.
