Holding true to its word, AT&T has put up the Galaxy S III mini up for pre-order for $0.99 on a two-year contract. As we reported earlier, the AT&T model is faster than the international model that launched last year thanks to a switch to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 processor, and will also last longer on a charge thanks to the bigger 2,000mAh battery. Couple those changes with the fact that it runs on Android 4.2 out of the box, and you get yourself a pretty good device for less than a dollar of upfront payment.
Other specs remain the same, including a WVGA (800 x 480) 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and 8GB of on-board storage expandable via a microSD slot.
Pre-orders will be shipped starting tomorrow, while in-store availability will commence from September 27th. Hit up the source link to place an order for this old-but-upgraded device.
