A mysterious new Samsung device has made an appearance in numerous places, carrying the model number GT-I9230. The device seems to have passed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certification over the course of the last couple of weeks, and was also shipped to India for testing, with the shipping manifest listing a 3.7-inch screen size and lower-mid-range pricing (Rs. 12,181).
No other details are available, but it looks like a device that has been in the works for some time, judging by the older model number scheme (Samsung has now switched to “SM” from “GT” for their upcoming devices, including a few mid-rangers). It's possibly the second sub-Rs. 15,000 phone that Samsung has been planning to launch in India, following the Galaxy Trend DUOS, which went up for sale in the country recently, though a release in other markets might happen as well.
