An upgraded Galaxy S4 Active with LTE-A connectivity has pretty much been confirmed to exist through various rumors and leaks, and now a leaked manual of the device further confirms its imminent arrival and also some of its specs. According to the manual, the S4 Active will sport the MS8974 CPU, aka the Snapdragon 800, which is the only chipset to support LTE-A network speeds of up to 150mbps. Of course, it will also come with IP67 certification for increased resistance against water and dust.
The Galaxy S4 Active must have done reasonably well in terms of sales to warrant such an upgrade, and it might also be the reason why the company is working on tougher variants of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S5 as well. There has been no evidence to date of the Galaxy S4 Active LTE-A coming to markets outside South Korea, but let's hope that changes soon.
