Report: Samsung Global Strategy Meeting kicks off tomorrow

Samsung will reportedly set its 2014 sales target for some of its products at the Global Strategy Meeting that is scheduled to take place tomorrow. The strategy meeting that will be till December 20 will involve approximately 500 Samsung employees from Consumer Electronics, IM and Device Solution division who will meet, strategise and set the sales target for the upcoming year.

Korean site, MK News claims Samsung will set 2014 sales target of smartphones at 400 million units, tablets at 65 million units and TVs at 60 million units.

While Samsung has been leading the smartphone and the TV market, the Korean giant will look forward to widen the lead. Samsung will concentrate on sporting events like Winter Olympics and Football World Cup to spruce up TV sales.

Samsung also has an ambitious goal of overtaking Apple in the tablet market by selling at least 65 million units.
