Samsung Display is reportedly going to be increasing its production capacity of OLED panels by 33 percent in 2014, with the monthly output increasing from 140,000 substrates in Q4 2013 to 177,000 by the fourth quarter of 2014. DigiTimes reports that despite strong demand for LCD technology in the market, Samsung believes OLED will continue to “possess technology advantages in the market,” which is a good thing considering how we're looking forward to those OLED tablets that Samsung is going to be launching next year, including a 10.5-inch slate as early as January.
