At its MWC event in Barcelona, Samsung announced that it has sold over 200 million handsets since the first Galaxy S device went on sale in 2010. Samsung announced at the same time last year that it has crossed 100 million sales, so over the course of a year, it has managed to sell another 100 million Galaxy S branded handsets. The Galaxy S4 notched over 40 million sales since its launch last March, while other devices like the S4 Mini were also well-received.
Samsung’s latest flagship handset, the Galaxy S5, has the potential to be a game changer, much the same way the Galaxy S4 was one of the most sough-after devices last year. While the Galaxy S5 does look similar to the Galaxy S4 from the front, a host of enhancements, both in the hardware and software segment mean that the device is faster, loaded with more features and is easier to use. The Galaxy S5 will be available in over 150 countries from April 11th. Will you be getting one? Let us know below.
