The Galaxy S5 may not have a new design, metallic construction, or mighty specs like a 2k display, but if you thought those supposed negatives would do anything to stop Samsung's latest flagship from breaking records, well, you might want to do some serious rethinking. U.S. carrier T-Mobile managed to grab 100,000 pre-registrations for the S5 in just two days, and now, less than a week later, the pre-registration figure has reached a whopping 300,000.
Pre-registrations shouldn't be confused with pre-orders, as this is just interested consumers signing up to receive information on pre-order and availability, but it's still a decisive indication that interest in the Galaxy S line is higher than ever before, even though the 300,000 pre-registrations won't exactly turn into the exact number of sales. Many in the tech industry have been criticizing Samsung for not doing much to make the Galaxy S5 stand out, but in the end, it's clear that it doesn't considerably affect the mindset of the average consumer, meaning the S5 will sell in droves just like its predecessors did.
If a plastic phone can gather so much attention, what do you think a metallic flagship from Samsung will be capable of?
