Those interested in the 10.1-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 3 (P5200) can now get their hands on the tablet, as Samsung has listed the device in its Indian e-store. The tablet will cost Rs. 36,340, and while the website states that the tablet isn’t available, it should be in stock soon. As for the hardware, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 features a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800, an Intel Z2560 dual-core CPU that is clocked at 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and a microSD card slot that can boost memory an additional 64 GB. The device comes with a SIM card slot that allows for 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, micro-USB 2.0 and an IR blaster.
The tablet comes with a 3 MP camera at the back and a 1.3 MP shooter at the front and houses a 6800mAh battery and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Samsung’s decision to launch this device in the country is strange, as the Galaxy Tab 4 series was officially announced last month and is set to launch in India soon. If you were interested in a 10-inch tablet from Samsung, we suggest you wait a while and get the 10.1-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 4. While there isn’t a lot of difference between the Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Tab 4 series as far as hardware is concerned, the new models run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
