After showcasing the Galaxy S5’s Ultra Power Saving Mode a few days ago, Samsung has now touched on the dust and water resistance features of the Galaxy S5 in its latest advert. The Galaxy S5 is certified IP67, which means that although the device is not waterproof, it can withstand the occasional splash. The first digit in the IP table refers to the resistance offered by the device against dust. The Galaxy S5 offers a level 6 protection against dust, which means that the device is “dust tight” and that dust cannot make its way into the device. The second digit refers to the level of protection the device offers against liquid, with a level 7 indicating that the device can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
