There’s a lot of stuff that happens in the tech industry, something that is especially true when it comes to giants like Samsung. If you missed out on some (or all) of what happened over the weekend, well, here’s a recap of all the big things that went down.

We published exclusive info on some of the software features that are expected to debut on the Galaxy Note 4, and also saw rumors of a supposed announcement date for the upcoming phablet. A rumor came out suggesting that Samsung could be working on a virtual reality headset in its latest bid to wander into uncharted territory, and that its standalone SIM-enabled smartwatch could launch as early as next month.

We also got yet another look at the Galaxy S5 Active, which has pretty much leaked extensively before launch, including making appearances in a handful of videos. Android 4.4.2 came a step closer to rolling out to a particular variant of the Galaxy S III, while T-Mobile started then stopped a bug fix update it had prepared for the Galaxy S5.

Here's the full rundown:

As usual, a lot of devices got firmware updates as well, so here’s a list of all the updates that rolled to Samsung devices over the weekend (as always, you can find all the firmware you need in our firmware section):

Specs comparison: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 vs Galaxy Note 4

Ah, the Galaxy Note 4. It's perhaps the last “true” Note flagship if you ask some of the diehard fans, and for good reason, too. It was the last Note to come with a removable battery or an IR blaster. When the Galaxy Note 5 came along, the Note 4 was also temporarily the last […]
