Samsung has reduced the price of its wearable fitness tracker, the Gear Fit, by Rs. 3,800 (~$60) in India. The device is now available from Samsung India's online store for Rs. 12,100, instead of Rs. 15,900, which was the launch price of the Gear Fit in the country. The price cut is a welcome one, especially for a price-sensitive market like India, and also when you consider the fact that the Gear Fit was a rather poor first-generation product, something we said in our review as well. The price reduction could also be a move to make way for the Gear Live, Samsung's Android Wear smartwatch, which launches in India this month for the same price as the Gear Fit's launch price.

Anyone in India looking to pick up the Gear Fit now that the price has gone down?
