After an endless stream of rumors and leaks Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S at its Galaxy Premiere event last month. The company goes back to AMOLED displays for tablets with the Galaxy Tab S after first using it in the Galaxy Tab 7.7 back in 2011. Two variants are on offer, one with an 8.4-inch and the other with a 10.5-inch display. Both tablets were first put up for pre-order in South Korea.
Samsung has now confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S will go on sale in Europe this Friday. The announcement comes after both tablets were released in the U.S. on June 27th.
Powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 (5420) or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, varying by region, the Galaxy Tab S has 3GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage with microSD card support, an 8 megapixel rear camera, 2.1 megapixel front camera as well as a fingerprint sensor embedded in its home button.
