Samsung has introduced a new member of its ATIV line of notebooks, the ATIV Book M, in South Korea. The ATIV Book M features a 11.6-inch touchscreen display with a standard 1366×768 resolution, and is powered by a dual-core Intel Celeron N2830 clocked at 2.16 GHz that doesn't require a fan for cooling thanks to its low-power design. The notebook also comes with 128 GB of SSD storage, 4 GB of RAM, a 30 watt-hour battery, single USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, a microSD card reader, and an HDMI port.
The ATIV Book M is aimed at students and is pretty compact, being only 16.8 mm thick and weighing 1.2 kg (though its a tad heavy given 13-inch laptops often weigh the same these days.) The ATIV Book M also brings a revamped keyboard with keys that curve inwards, which should offer an improved typing experience, a feature that students will find particularly attractive. It is priced at 790,000 Won (around Euro 570), though it remains to be seen when, and if, the ATIV Book M will be released outside Samsung's home country.
