The NBA's All-Star Game was held in Madison Square Garden, New York City, yesterday and thousands were in attendance. Those who like to get real close to the action paid as much as $9,000 for courtside seats, but if you didn't have that kind of dough lying around for a courtside experience, fret not as part of the NBA All-Stars Game will be made available on the Samsung Gear VR. The NBA has captured the All-Star Game, dunk competition, three-point contest as well as a private practice session for dunk contest participants with virtual reality camera rigs from BigLook360.
According to NBA Vice President of Global Media Distribution Jeff Marsilio the recorded footage will be available for the Gear VR through the Samsung Milk VR store within a few weeks, and that too for free. Viewers won't get the full unedited video of each event rather the NBA is going to compile the best moments from each event into 360-degree highlight reels.
