Samsung released its first Tizen-powered smartphone, the Z1, in India. The smartphone is reported to have done well in the country. Samsung's second market for this smartphone was Bangladesh where once again we saw a good start by the Z1 given that it offers people a completely new platform that hasn't been around for long. The next markets in line might be Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
Strategy analytics says that Samsung has plans to release the Z1 in more developing countries over the next few months, these include Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. The Z1 is a good option for customers who are in the market for their first smartphone. It is priced cheaper than many low-end Android smartphones for precisely this reason, and this is why the Z1 is only limited to developing countries right now.
