
Apple clinched the top spot with a global brand value of $128 billion. Samsung came in second with $81.7 billion, this according to the “Global 500 2015” report from market research firm Brand Finance. The report puts Google, Microsoft and Verizon at third, fourth and fifth with global brand values of $76.6 billion, $67 billion and $59.8 billion respectively. Eight out of the ten global brands were based in America. Samsung was the only one from South Korea and China Mobile was the only company representing the People's Republic in ninth place with a global brand value of $47.9 billion.
