Earlier today Samsung finally announced the Galaxy Xcover 3 smartphone. It adheres to MIL-STD 810G which means that the Xcover 3 is shockproof when dropped from a height of up to 1.2 meters. It also touts IP67 certification which means that the device is dust-proof and water-proof in a meter of water for up to half an hour.
The company has also confirmed that it will be launching a rugged phone next month. Called the Xcover 550 it will be a new feature phone addition in Samsung's Xcover family. The company says that this device will also have IP67 certification as well as a rugged body. Samsung Xcover 550 is going to be released in April with a price tag below 100 euro.
