A couple of months back Samsung launched the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5. Both smartphones have mid-range specifications but an outstanding metal build. Samsung then made another addition to the lineup with the Galaxy A7. This smartphone brought a powerful package while retaining the metal build. The Samsung Galaxy A series came with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed. Our insiders have revealed to us today that Samsung has started working on the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy A series. We have also been told that Samsung has not yet begun developing Android 5.1 for any compatible device. This isn't surprising at all given the fact that Google's latest stable version has been out for a couple of weeks now.
Recently Samsung Finland confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 will be among the devices that will receive the Lollipop update. Since then there has been no comment from Samsung about the status of this update. Our insiders reveal that there is no sign of Android 5.0 for the Galaxy Note 2. It isn't in development and hasn't even been mentioned yet.
