There are countless Chinese manufacturers that clone popular devices so that people who can't or don't want to pay more money can get a device that at least looks more or less like the real deal for a fraction of the cost. We have already seen a clone of the Galaxy S6 from No.1 and now Goophone is out with its copy of Samsung's latest flagship smartphone. The Goophone S6 can be purchased right away from the manufacturer's website for $169, worldwide shipping is included in the price.
Even though the Goophone S6 looks like the Galaxy S6 it will obviously not feel or perform like it. The Goophone S6 Lite and Elite are powered by MTK6572 dual-core 1.0GHz and MTK6582 quad-core 1.3GHz processors with 512MB and 1GB RAM respectively. Nowhere near the hardware package that the Galaxy S6 touts, but hey you get what you pay for. Since the hardware is not the same you can't expect this clone to have all of the features that the Galaxy S6 offers. It does have one thing going for itself though. The Goophone S6 has support for an external memory card, the lack of which on the Galaxy S6 might make potential customers reconsider purchasing the new Samsung flagship.
