We reported yesterday that AT&T has also started shipping Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge units ahead of time to its customers. A memo sent to the carrier's employees has surfaced online which informs them about a packaging issue with both devices that's turning on the units while they're in the box. Being powered on in transit drains the battery which means when customers take their units out of the box and try to turn it on the device won't power up.
Obviously this isn't something that can't be easily fixed. As the memo points out, customers who approach the carrier's employees about not being able to power on the device they've just taken out of the box should be directed to charge it first for a few minutes. It's unclear at this point in time whether this packaging issue is limited to AT&T units, do sound off in the comments if you've faced a similar issue on your unit from any of the other three major carriers in the United States.
