Teardown pros iFixit have taken apart the Galaxy S6 edge and have documented the whole process, which isn't exactly easy. In fact the teardown has revealed that repairing the Galaxy S6 edge is going to be bit of a chore so users who don't have adequate technical skills would be better off by getting their unit repaired by a technician.
All of the components are very neatly and tightly packed inside the device so removing them can be a bit tricky. Since the Galaxy S6 edge has a metal and glass construction extra care has to be taken when removing the glass from the metal body. Swapping out the battery isn't easy as well since the pack is glued to the shell itself. iFixit awards the Galaxy S6 edge a repair score of 3/10 which reflects just how difficult it is to repair the device particularly if you don't have the required skill set.
