Gold-plated mobile phones have existed since long, and we've seen various Samsung smartphones getting the gold treatment in the past including the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy Note Edge, the Galaxy S5, and the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge sure are lookers, thanks to their glass-and-metal build. However, for the elite few, even that isn't enough

Now, Karalux, a gold-plating brand in Vietnam, has started offering the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge with 24K gold-plating. Since these devices are mostly covered with Gorilla Glass 4, the gold-plating finish is only applicable on the metal frame and around the camera module. The store explains on their website that it takes three hours for their engineers to pass these devices through a 10-stage process of gold-plating. As an addition they also cover the devices with a nano coating that saves gold-plating from corroding.

If you have an additional $400 (VND 8 million) lying around, you can get your Galaxy S6 through an expensive paint job. This price is exclusive of the regular price of a Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 edge.
