In less than a fortnight the four major wireless networks in the United States have released the much awaited Lollipop update for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. AT&T started off the chain reaction when it released Lollipop for this tablet first and then T-Mobile followed up with the update on its network. Yesterday Verizon came through as well and released Android 5.0.2 for Galaxy Tab S 10.5 users. Only Sprint remains and today it finally takes care of this matter.
Sprint has updated the support document for this tablet to reflect that software version T807PVPU1BOE3 is rolling out today over-the-air for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. It will bring the device up to Android 5.0.2 so users get all of the new features, the new Material Design user interface and all of the performance tweaks that this update makes. Today's release also removes the Lumen toolbar from the tablet on Sprint, brings stability and performance improvements as well as some very important bug fixes. Now that Sprint has updated the tablet on its network as well all LTE models of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 in the US have been taken care of, those who own the Wi-Fi only model got Lollipop a couple of months back.
