Sony has been gradually scaling its PlayStation Now cloud-based game streaming service, previously it was only limited to the company's own products like PlayStation consoles and TVs. However the company did say in December last year that at some point in the future its game streaming service will be supported by Samsung smart TVs, that day is today. Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Now game streaming is now available on select Samsung smart TVs in the United States and Canada.
The compatible smart TVs from Samsung are now the first non-Sony devices to support the cloud-based PlayStation Now game streaming service, players won't require a PlayStation console however they will need a DualShock 4 controller to play games. PlayStation Now library includes over 100 PlayStation 3 games which can be streamed on demand, initially the games could only be rented individually, but Sony has since launched a $19.99 per month subscription plan which lets members stream all the games they want in a month.
