On August 13 all eyes will be on Samsung as it takes to the stage in New York City to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+, these new handsets were initially expected to come in September but the company is believed to have pushed the launch to hold off competition from the new iPhones that come out in September. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is expected to have almost similar specifications as the Galaxy S6 edge including the same 16-megapixel rear camera.
Samsung often imports prototypes of upcoming devices into India for the purpose of research and development, only recently we caught a Galaxy S6 edge+ unit that it had brought into India. Import tracker Zauba points towards another Samsung import that consisted of 500 pieces of 16-megapixel 1/2.6″ camera modules destined for SM-G928 which is the model number for the Galaxy S6 edge+. They appear to be the same modules found in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge so perhaps this handset won't be touting the new camera sensor that Samsung showed off today.
