Tomorrow Samsung is going to take the stage in New York City to unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge Plus, two handsets that the company's fanbase has been anxiously waiting for. The company has obviously revealed no information about price and availability at this point in time but according to a report out of Korea pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 edge Plus will start August 20 in South Korea.
The report claims that Samsung hopes the Galaxy S6 edge Plus has the potential to improve its profit margins which weren't exactly that spectacular in the previous quarter. It goes on to quote an unnamed Samsung official who says that the company's smartphone sales during the third quarter will be better due to these new handsets and that its pricing strategy will be flexible based on market conditions. All three major carriers in the company's home base – SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ – will reportedly start taking pre-orders for this handset on August 20, it's unclear right now when pre-orders might go live for the handset in major markets across the globe.
