The third largest mobile carrier in the United States, T-Mobile, today announced the launch of native video calling. The feature allows users to initiate video calls directly from the dialer on their smartphone thus eliminating the need to install a third-party application for this purpose. Initiating a video call is as easy as just opening the dialer and punching in the other person's number. The only caveat is that the person you're trying to video call has to be on the same network and has to have a compatible device.
T-Mobile has launched its native video calling feature with Samsung's latest handsets: the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+. Both handsets will receive a simple software update today to enable this feature, by next week the update will also arrive on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge so that users who own those handsets can get in on the fun as well.
