Samsung today announced the addition of two new laptops to its ATIV line, the ATIV Book 9 Pro is the company's first laptop with a 4K display, while the ATIV Book 9 Spin features a 360-degree rotating touch display making it perfect for those who demand versatility from their notebooks. Both devices use real time HDR enhancements to optimize brightness and contrast for all content, users thus see clearer and crisper images. The new laptops also have support for Samsung's Outdoor Mode which promises that users will be able to see the display clearly even in the most direct sunlight.
Customers can choose from a range of Intel 6th generation Core i7 processors, up to 2.5GHz on ATIV Book 9 Spin and 2.6GHz on ATIV Book 9 Pro. HDMI, 3.5mm headset jack, memory card slot, USB ports and 256GB solid state drive are present on the two laptops, the Pro model also gets a USB Type C connector and Wi-Fi Boost v2 to improve content streaming even when wireless signal isn't perfect. The ATIV Book 9 Pro's main feature is its 15.6-inch 4K display coupled with NVIDIA graphics which allows it to command a price tag starting at $1,599. The Spin with its 13.3-inch 3200×1800 Quad HD+ touchscreen display and 360-degree hinge supports three modes of use: conventional laptop, tented screen and tablet. It starts at $1,399.
